CHP Tour: DC by day

Our DC By Day tour takes you through and beyond the National Mall for a look at DC’s most iconic images. You’ll get a look at the “can’t miss” monuments, plus visit museums, rooftop views, and more for a unique tour experience. A step-off guide accompanies you throughout our tours, so you'll receive entertainment and information about every fabulous sight.

Details:

Duration: 8 hours (9am-5pm). Includes travel time: tour departs Cherry Hill Park’s bus depot at 9am and leaves Washington, DC at 4pm.

2025 Availability: This tour runs on Wednesdays from March 24-October 31.

Pricing: $88 adult; kids under 5 free as lap sitters (no seat). Get 10% off when you book before your arrival date.

Combo Pricing (New for 2025): Buy tickets to any 2 tours and get your second tour for $66 per person; go on all 3 tours and get the third for $55 per person. Get an additional 10% off this pricing by booking before your arrival date. This offer does not combine with Express Bus tickets, and it must be the same person attending each tour to qualify. Combo pricing will not be honored in cases of cancellation.

Advance Booking: You can book tickets up to 180 days in advance for any date. You must have a reservation to stay at Cherry Hill Park during the dates you book a tour. We board our buses based on the order of purchase, so early birds get first pick of seats!

Pets Policy: There are no pets or comfort animals allowed on Cherry Hill Park Tours; service animals only.

Cancellation Policy: Requests to cancel or modify tickets must be submitted in writing to our concierge team via the online cancellation form, email (concierge@cherryhillpark.com), or text (240-484-8917). No phone or in-person requests accepted. Failure to submit results in a "no-show" with no refunds, even if part of the group attends.

Fees for cancellations/modifications - 24 hours prior to check-in: No fee; Between check-in and 24 hours before ticket date: $10 per ticket; Inside 24 hours prior to ticket date: 50% of ticket cost.

Notes & Tips:

  • It can be hot on the National Mall: bring a water bottle to avoid the prices downtown.

  • This tour involves significant walking throughout the National Mall. If you use mobility equipment, please notify our staff.

  • CHP tours can sell out in advance, so get your tickets as early as possible!
